Rendering of flooring pattern/design from an installed project with installation photos. Rendering of unbuilt project designed since January 1, 2020 that has not won a previous DesignWorks award Installation - Carpet, Hardwood, Resilient, Porcelain/Ceramic, etc. showcasing patterns, materials, and design elements within the installation. Can include before and after photos to show impact of change from new installation.

Projects receive higher marks if multiple design detail bullet points are included in one submission. Custom Millwork Design, Construction Detail, Furniture Design, Custom Lighting Design

This category recognizes a product or material that demonstrates exceptional innovation, sustainability, or transformative impact within the built environment. Submissions should highlight how the product supports design excellence through originality, performance, aesthetics, or environmental stewardship. Open to manufacturers, product designers, and industry partners.

Submission to include the following criteria: Floorplan(s), Renderings and a photo collage of finishes and/or furnishings is allowed to further enhance the design concept. The student category is only available to active IIDA Campus Centers in the Carolinas. All student submissions will need to be vetted through their IIDA Faculty Advisor.
